"THANK YOU CHICAGO"

"BOSSY" is going to continue to be played but we can now drop it from the survey as it is one of the rare dances that scored for an entire year! Congrats to Michele Perron for achieving the rare feat of keeping the class interested in one dance for an entire year! " [taken from Mark's Nov. newsletter on countryedge.com]

Thank you Mark Cosenza for this item.

As I have mentioned before, take a look at "Right Round" by Flo Rida as a wonderful alternate track for Bossy. It renewed the dance for my club and the dancers always request the 'alt' track every week! Smiles, Michele

and 'She Bangs' by Ricky Martin. Partner not required.

Dancin' Bootcamp - West Coast Swing
This Swing dance consists of six and eight count patterns, which are done in a slot.
The woman no longer rocks back as in East Coast swing,
but instead she always walks forward on count one.
This dance is usually done to medium tempo swing music.
This dance has no bounce and a very smooth feel.
Dance to your favourite popular music! Singles welcome!

Seductive steps. Exotic beats. Passionate movements. Explosive turns.
These are some of the elements of the Latin dance known as the Salsa.
While this type of dance can include all kinds of steps and timings,
you will be taught a Salsa for beginners that still allows the dancer to
experience the wonderful, hot sensation of Salsa dancing.
With careful and detailed instruction, the teacher will guide you through
the basic elements of this Hot Hot Hot dance. No partner required.
Instructor: Michele Perron

Wear low heeled, smooth soled shoes.
Lots of practice time is offered during each class

Tuesday Evenings - 8-9:15pm - 5 weeks starting April 13th
5 weeks - $55.00 - ID#18717

Dancin' Bootcamp - Night Club 2 Step
Night Club Two-Step, not to be confused with country western two-step,
is one of the most practical and versatile social dances ever conceived.
It is designed to be used with contemporary soft rock ("Love Song") music.
This type of music is common just about everywhere.
The rhythm of the dance is very simple and rarely changes from the 1 & 2 count.
This simple, romantic dance fills a gap where no other ballroom dance fits.
It gives the dancer, either beginning or advanced, the opportunity to express
and create without rigid technique being required.
This is an attractive, romantic dance, and a real asset to learn as
it will be used often. Singles welcome!

Tuesday Evenings - 7-8pm - 5 weeks starting May 18th
5 weeks - $55.00 - ID#18720

Waltz and Foxtrot - Level 1
The romantic Slow Waltz is a travelling and turning dance moving along the line of dance. Movement is characterized by Rise & Fall. A wonderful social dance with it's ease of movement, the Foxtrot offers smooth steps with a brushing action. The combination of quick and slow steps makes for interesting rhythm. No partner required!
